Overview
L.A.S.S.I is the first Hero Pet unlocked in Clash of Clans, automatically available once the Pet House is constructed at Town Hall 14. This trusty robotic hound chases enemies with unrelenting fury, featuring exceptional movement speed (32 – fastest in the game alongside Headhunters and Goblins) and wall-jumping abilities. With 4,100 HP and 290 DPS at max level, L.A.S.S.I follows heroes closely, attacking any building within 2.5 tiles of the paired hero. Her metallic appearance resembles a Mini P.E.K.K.A, complete with a single diamond-shaped eye and fierce loyalty to her assigned hero.
L.A.S.S.I revolutionized hero support strategies by providing fast-moving, wall-bypassing damage output that complements aggressive hero plays. She excels with the Royal Champion thanks to shared wall-jumping mechanics, creating a powerful duo for deep base penetration. However, her blazing speed can be a double-edged sword – she often charges ahead of her hero, drawing fire from defenses and becoming vulnerable. L.A.S.S.I is best utilized with heroes who move quickly and benefit from close-range support, though her inability to target air units limits her versatility compared to pets like Electro Owl or Phoenix.

Key Attributes: L.A.S.S.I has a movement speed of 32 (fastest in game), attack speed of 1.1 seconds, attack range of 0.8 tiles (melee), and targets any building within 2.5 tiles of her paired hero. Special Ability – High Jumper: Jumps over walls to reach targets, similar to Hog Riders and Royal Champion. Attack Type: Single-target melee damage.
โ๏ธ Best Hero Pairings
Royal Champion (Best Pairing)
L.A.S.S.I’s wall-jumping ability synergizes perfectly with Royal Champion’s mobility. Both can penetrate deep into bases without breaking walls. L.A.S.S.I stays close to RC thanks to the 2.5-tile targeting range, providing consistent melee support while RC focuses on defenses. Most effective combo for RC charges.
Archer Queen (Moderate Pairing)
Works with Queen Walk strategies but has limitations. L.A.S.S.I’s speed (32) outpaces Queen’s movement, causing her to run ahead and draw defense fire prematurely. Can provide additional DPS during Queen Charges but
Unicorn offers superior healing support for extended engagements.
Barbarian King (Poor Pairing)
Not recommended. L.A.S.S.I’s speed causes her to outrun the slower Barbarian King, breaking formation and getting targeted by defenses before King can tank damage.
Phoenix or
Frosty provide better survivability bonuses for King’s aggressive playstyle.
Grand Warden (Not Viable)
Poor pairing for Grand Warden. As a ground pet, L.A.S.S.I can’t support Warden in air mode. In ground mode, her fast movement creates pathing issues.
Electro Owl or
Poison Lizard offer better synergy with Warden’s support role.
๐ฏ Strategic Tips
Speed Management
L.A.S.S.I’s movement speed 32 (fastest in game) causes her to outpace heroes. Deploy hero first, allowing L.A.S.S.I to catch up before engaging defenses. Avoid long-distance deployments where she’ll run far ahead and get isolated from hero support.
Wall-Jump Mechanics
L.A.S.S.I jumps walls automatically when targeting buildings behind them. Pair with Royal Champion to create dual wall-jumping attacks that bypass compartments. Effective for reaching Eagle Artillery, Inferno Towers, and Town Hall without Wall Breakers or Jump Spells.
2.5-Tile Targeting Range
L.A.S.S.I prioritizes targets within 2.5 tiles of paired hero. This keeps her close during focused attacks but can pull her away during hero repositioning. Use Recall Spell to reset hero-pet positioning if L.A.S.S.I becomes separated or targets wrong buildings.
Funnel Before Pet Deployment
Create funnels with cleanup troops before deploying hero and L.A.S.S.I. Without proper funneling, L.A.S.S.I’s speed causes her to chase peripheral buildings rather than core structures, wasting DPS on storages and collectors instead of defenses.
Vulnerability to Air Defenses
L.A.S.S.I cannot target or defend against air units. She’s vulnerable during air-heavy Clan Castle pulls. Pair with heroes who have anti-air capabilities or pre-lure CC troops before committing L.A.S.S.I to avoid her being overwhelmed by Baby Dragons or Balloons.
๐ก๏ธ Countering L.A.S.S.I
Single-Target Inferno Towers
Position Inferno Towers inside core compartments where L.A.S.S.I will path. With 4,100 HP, single-target Infernos melt her in 8-9 seconds. Her speed causes her to reach Infernos before heroes can tank, making her an easy elimination target.
Skeleton Traps & Spring Traps
Deploy Skeleton Traps near high-value targets. L.A.S.S.I must engage skeletons before resuming building attacks, delaying her DPS. Spring Traps won’t eject L.A.S.S.I (too heavy) but distract her with pathing confusion when triggered by nearby troops.
Tornado Traps
Tornado Traps pull L.A.S.S.I away from heroes, breaking the 2.5-tile synergy. Once separated, she becomes vulnerable without hero support. Position Tornados near compartment entrances where Royal Champion or hero charges will path.
Compartmentalized Base Design
Multiple small compartments force L.A.S.S.I to jump walls repeatedly, exposing her to concentrated defense fire each time she lands. Island compartments with Inferno Towers or Scattershots punish her aggressive wall-jumping behavior with lethal burst damage.
