The Museum in Fields of Mistria works like the Community Center in Stardew Valley — it is a long-term completionist goal that gives purpose to everything you collect. Donating to it raises Town Renown, rewards you with Tesserae and cooking recipes, and gives you a satisfying reason to explore every corner of the map. This guide covers how the Museum works, all four wings, tips to complete it efficiently, and what you unlock. New? Check our Beginner's Guide first.

Where Is the Museum and How Does It Work?

The Museum is located in The Narrows, west of Mistria town. It is run by Errol, the curator and member of Mistria's Historical Society — with Eiland often found at the main desk as well. You'll receive a letter from Errol on Spring Day 2 inviting you to visit, though you can technically donate from Day 1 if you happen to walk in.

The Museum is divided into 4 wings, each containing a number of sets. Each set groups 5 related items (with the exception of the Legendary Fish Set, which requires 4). Complete a set by donating one of each required item. You can only donate one of each item — first come, first donated.

?? Key rule: Rewards are determined by the total number of sets completed in that wing, not by which specific set you just finished. This means it doesn't matter which set you complete first — just keep completing them and the rewards keep improving.

How to Complete the Museum Efficiently

??? Museum Completion Tips

1

Visit Errol on Spring Day 2

Pick up Errol's letter and complete the Museum tutorial. You can donate from Day 1, but the letter formally opens the system.

2

Donate the first of everything, immediately

The moment you catch a new fish, find a new crop, catch a new bug, or dig up a new artifact — donate it to the Museum before selling or storing. You only need one of each.

3

Keep a seasonal checklist

Flora and Fish sets are season-locked. If you miss a Spring item, that set is on hold for a year. Check what's still missing from the current season before it ends.

4

Progress through the Mines

Archaeology items require Mine progression. Deeper biomes unlock new artifact, gem and ore types. Some sets are locked behind specific Mine areas.

5

Collect your rewards from Errol

After completing a set, talk to Errol to collect your reward. Don't let them stack up uncollected.

?? Don't miss seasonal items. If you miss donating a Strawberry (Spring) or a Corn (Summer) because you sold your entire harvest, that Flora set cannot be completed until the following year. Flora and Fish are the most time-sensitive wings — prioritise them.

The Four Museum Wings

The four wings of the Fields of Mistria Museum — Archaeology, Flora, Insects and Fish

The Museum's four wings each cover a different category of Mistria's natural world.

??

Archaeology Wing

Source: Mining & Digging

Artifacts, gems, ores and ancient relics found by digging artifact spots with a Shovel or Pickaxe, and from mining in the Mines. Sets are unlocked progressively as you reach new Mine biomes — Tide Caverns, Deep Earth, Lava Caves, Deep Woods, Ruins. The Mist Artifact Set (added v0.15.0) requires Void Sight from the Floor 80 Priestess. Note: 2 sets are currently uncompletable.

??

Flora Wing

Source: Farming & Foraging

Crops, flowers, forageables and plants from your farm and the world. Sets are organised by season — Spring Crops, Summer Flowers and so on. Highly time-sensitive: miss a seasonal item and you wait a full year. Always keep at least one of each crop before selling.

??

Insects Wing

Source: Bug Net

Bugs caught with your Bug Net across Mistria. Sets include Grass Insects (found all over), Beach Insects (beach only, any season), Mine Insects (Mines, no seasonal restriction), Legendary Insects (world, season-specific) and biome-specific sets for Tide Caverns and beyond.

??

Fish Wing

Source: Fishing

Fish caught from rivers, ponds, the ocean, and the Mines. Sets are location- and season-specific — the set name tells you where and when to fish. Mine fish have no seasonal restriction. The Legendary Fish Set requires 4 items (not 5). Fish weather conditions apply to some catches.

Rewards: What You Get for Donating

Collecting rewards from Errol at the Fields of Mistria Museum

Talk to Errol after completing sets to collect your rewards — don't let them pile up.

Each completed set gives a reward. As stated in the core mechanic: rewards scale with the total number of sets completed in that wing — the more you complete, the better each reward becomes. Early sets give modest Tesserae; later sets reward larger Tesserae amounts, Town Renown boosts, and sometimes unique items.

Crucially, some Museum rewards are exclusive cooking recipes that cannot be learned anywhere else. If you want to unlock the full recipe list in the cooking guide, you must donate to the Museum. This makes the Museum essential for completionists, not just for Renown.

?? Why Museum donations matter for Renown: Every set you complete contributes to Town Renown. This makes the Museum one of the three core Renown sources (alongside the Request Board and Shipping Bin). Donating early and often is the fastest way to climb Town Ranks.

Top Tips for the Museum

  1. Never sell your first of anything. The first fish, crop, bug, or artifact you find goes straight to the Museum. Duplicates can be sold.
  2. Check the Museum before each season ends. Walk through your current wing progress and note what's still missing — it's much easier to fill gaps in the last week of a season than to wait a full year.
  3. Get a Bug Net on Day 4. Complete the "Something's Bugging Me" quest from Luc via the Request Board early. Bug Net progress opens up the entire Insects wing from the start.
  4. Mine progressively for Archaeology. Deeper Mine biomes unlock new artifact types. Don't neglect mining — it feeds both the Museum and your skills.
  5. Use the Museum as a checklist. Walk through all four wings regularly — the game shows you exactly which items each set still needs.
  6. Don't panic about the two uncompletable sets. The Gems of Mistria and Metals of Mistria sets each require one item not yet in the game. They'll be completable when future Mine floors arrive.

The Museum is in The Narrows, west of Mistria town. It is run by Errol, the curator and member of the Historical Society, with Eiland often found at the main desk. You'll receive a letter from Errol on Spring Day 2 inviting you to visit, though you can donate on Day 1.
As of the v0.15.0 update (February 2026), there are 80 sets across 4 wings requiring 399 total donations. Two Archaeology sets cannot currently be completed because the required items have not yet been added to the game — they will arrive with future Mine floor updates.
Completing sets rewards Tesserae, Town Renown, and sometimes unique items or exclusive cooking recipes. Rewards scale with the total number of sets completed in that wing — the more you complete, the better each reward gets. Some cooking recipes are only obtainable through Museum donations.
Not yet. As of 2026, two sets in the Archaeology wing — Gems of Mistria and Metals of Mistria — each require one item that has not yet been added to the game. These are expected with future Mine floor updates. Everything else is currently obtainable.
Donate the first of every new item immediately — never sell it first. Keep a seasonal checklist of what the Flora and Fish wings still need, since those are season-locked. Get a Bug Net by Day 4 to start the Insects wing early. Progress through the Mines for Archaeology items. The most common mistake is missing a seasonal crop or fish and having to wait a full year.
